by far the most unbelievable plot point of the queen’s gambit is that every time she beats a man he immediately falls in love with her and tells her on how much better she is at chess when in reality we know at least half of them would have thrown a fit and called her a fat bitch

oh my god character development! now she can beat people at chess not with drugs but with the power of friendship!
