Reasons why I like the tododeku ship so much and why I decide to ship them: a thread

If you don't like this ship, I suggest you not read this thread. I'm not here to change your mind or why this ship is the best. This is just my opinion and thoughts on the ship and why I ship them. And I do not ship Tododeku because it is a BL ship, in fact I have my reasons.

First of all: Todoroki's big change thanks to Izuku. As we all know in the arc of the sports festival where they were both fighting, Midoriya tries to "Motivate" Todoroki to use his left side of fire with the words of
" it’s your power, isn’t it? "

Through that Shoto recognized that the connection between his and his father's peculiarities was not the most important thing, but being able to recognize the peculiarity that he has as his person.

This also gives us some indication that Izuku cared much more about helping Shoto, than about winning the fight.

During the Todoroki vs Bakugo fight. Shoto was doubting himself, not knowing what to do with his peculiarity of flames. And Izuku realized Todoroki's emotional state and in the middle of the entire stadium Midoriya yells "Don't lose, do your best! And that somehow hit Todoroki +

If I'm not mistaken, this happened before the Todoroki vs Midoriya fight, I'm not really sure. But here we can see that Izuku being someone very shy, he faced Endeavor, who at that time was the father of his RIVAL. Everything to defend Todoroki.

It should be noted that literally Izuku was helping Shoto even when they did not even get along, and when that they were still great rivals.

Basically after that great confrontation that they both had at a sports festival, these two became closer, creating a very strong bond of friendship, full of trust, support, and mutual respect. As well, Todoroki began to show less difficulty in making friends.

Shoto, as in the first seasons of the anime, he showed us as a quite cold character and very distant from his classmates, but thanks to the events of the festival, he began to get a little closer to his class, making several friends.

In the "Hero Killer; Stain" arc, Izuku was trapped in an alley fighting the Villain, while trying to save Iida Tenya. And this caused him to send from his phone the location where he was for someone to help him, and if I'm not mistaken I send his location to his entire class. +

But Todoroki was the only one who went with him.

Showing that despite not knowing each other for a long time, they have a deep understanding of each other. Todoroki was sure something was wrong and he left his father and everything behind, believing that Midoriya might be in danger.

During the aftermath of that fight, Shoto got angry for Izuku and Iida, because they had some trouble against the law, even though they caught a villain, showing his moral strength as much as how important Midoriya is to him along with Iida

This scene is simply my favorite. Izuku was very frustrated by the events that occurred with Eri and the fact that all the pressure of the mission is on him. He can't talk about it with his best friends and that leaves him in a very sad state.

And I love the obvious and constant concern they have between them, personally I think it is something too cute, since in the arc of the rescue of little Eri, Midoriya was too sad and this has been noticed by Todoroki for a long time.

After some words from Iida, Izuku remains thoughtful until he shed a few tears.

To which Todoroki, in an attempt to cheer him up, offers him half of his soba.

In the arc of the provisional licenses where the character of Inasa has a certain rivalry with Shoto due to the past they shared, in the middle of their test they have a confrontation leaving aside what they had to do, to this Izuku arrives so that Todoroki realizes of what +

In the Endeavor vs. Nomu arc. Todoroki watches as his father is in a horrible battle with a Nomu, Shoto was very worried about his father, and Midoriya is one of the first to notice his presence and shows great concern for Shoto's feelings.

When the battle ends, Endeavor is victorious, and through that Todoroki collapses relieved to the ground and Midoriya also falls to the ground with him to comfort him.

After that battle, Shoto is shown talking to his family, while Todoroki begins to accept his father a little more, remembering how Midoriya changed him with those simple words during the Sports Festival, and Shoto comments this:

In this arc, Todoroki is paired in a battle with Tetsutetsu, however his rival's quirk appears to be difficult for Shoto's quirk. He resorts to using one of his father's special attacks, and remembers Izuku's words. That makes the power of his fire soar.

Todoroki remembered Izuku's words from what he said to him at the sports festival and that makes him use his own more powerful side.

Wow, those words from Midoriya really made a big impact on Shoto.

In chapter 241 of the manga Mt. Lady is invited to the UA to do an interview practice with the class. Todoroki is one of the first to go, showing off his new moves and how he handles each of them, and Mt. Lady asks him various questions and comments regarding his looks.

Showing his special ability Midoriya is shown watching and smiling with pride as he remembers Todoroki's words of getting better and better.

And after all, it is Midoriya's turn and he is shown to be nervous and rigid in his anxiety, in a very humorous scene. And at the end of the chapter we see Midoriya goes to Todoroki and says:

Something in my heart moves when I see Midoriya believe in Todoroki more than he does, that in himself, he really seems to me something very beautiful, at least for me

In this scene from the manga when Shoto's friends return from putting away the utensils, they overhear Fuyumi and Shoto having a conversation about their father. Bakugo and Midoriya make their presence known, and Izuku approaches Shoto and says:

As if to prove once again, that Izuku might know more about Shoto than he knows about himself.

And this panel of the manga without hesitation is one of my favorites, where Izuku and Bakugou go to eat at the Todoroki house at the invitation of Fuyumi. And before the boys leave the house, Fuyumi thanks Izuku for being Todoroki's friend, and he gets very shy.

Leaving aside the issue of "ships". These two have one of the best friendships in the entire series. No one is going to deny that there really is a very special affection between them

During the Todoroki vs Sero fight, Midoriya was the only one who felt Shoto's sad feelings, feeling a strong sense of wanting to help him and save him from his tragedy and his past.

In season 3, when Midoriya was in the hospital, Todoroki appears only to visit Izuku in the hospital. Showing how important Izuku is to him, while they knew each other for such a short time, given how difficult their relationship began.

In this scene from the manga (which was not depicted in the anime) Shoto gets angry at Iida and raises his voice at him for hitting izuku.

I find it a bit strange from the way he reacted when Iida hit Izuku, since, among all his friends...

Todoroki was the only one who reacted that way.

With this perhaps Izuku can mean something more to Todoroki than a simple friend, since before Shoto has never referred to someone else in that way.
