Our situation is extremely easy to understand.
Pre-industrial minus 100ppm CO2 takes the earth to the bottom of an ice age (minus 5°C)
We are now at PI plus 130ppm CO2.
We can therefore say with certainty that the earth is committed to more than 5°C above PI.
