At the start of 2020, I began speaking with communities facing COVID-19 surveillance and people working with them to understand the situation. Now 8 months later, based on these conversations, my research paper with @iNetDemocracy is published. Read here:

I'm thankful to everyone who trusted me with their experiences. By highlighting these lived experiences which are often left out in policy discourse, the paper argues that surveillance undermines not just data privacy, but the bodily integrity, autonomy, & dignity of individuals.

At @iNetDemocracy, we wanted to accessibly amplify the voices of people I spoke to for this research. So we designed a zine with excerpts from some select interviews. Check it out!

We also collaborated with @KhabarLahariya to report from the ground in rural UP about tech surveillance during covid. In this Hindi video, I speak with their bureau chief @klmeera about common findings from their reportage and our research. @iNetDemocracy
