rating my playing card collection, a thread:

im gonna give a description for each deck, approx price, if i enjoy them, and an overall rating out of 10, along with pictures of the face cards, the backs, and card box.

yes i am aware how awful and nerdy this is but shhhh

First up I’m just gonna start with the cards that everyone has and everyone uses. Bicycle rider backs.

now these cards truly are nothing special. they feel very cheap and arent durable at all and everything about them seems generic to me

Bicycle Tally-Ho’s

these cards are just like the rider backs but better in every way. theyre much more durable, much smoother, and their design is perfect for cardistry. my one complain are how they feel a bit too thick but, they are cheap:

Bicycle Dragonbacks

now these are a little beat up because of how old they are and how much I’ve used them but these are, Bicycles prettiest deck. they feel like tally ho’s but have a way better design. if you arent looking for anything too special get these,

Note: I do have many more cheaper bicycle decks but theyre ugly as fuck i can add them to thread if thats something you guys are interested in. now onto the rarer and pricier decks.

also, if I really enjoy one aspect about a deck, I’ll probably add another pic of that

Union playing cards

as you’ll see when you scroll through this thread, any deck made by theory11 are fucking beautiful and the union cards are no exception. the card box is very pretty (which means a lot to me) and my only complaint is how they arent very durable

Knights V1

these are so smooth and comfortable. the back design is unique and stands out but I can’t say the same for the fronts of the cards. but pretty good over all

another chris ramsay deck, Memento Mori’s

for the design alone, these are one of my top 3 favorite decks. everything about them is so original and not really gimmicky at all. theyre also very durable and GOD i love them so much. highly reccomend you buy these

Memento Mori’s: Blue edition

these cards were made without the consent of the lead designer and the person who’s name is attached to it. the manufacturer made it and jumped over everyones heads. just a copy of the OG and not as good
