Twitter is a private company, meaning it can kick you off it says you& #39;re violating terms of service.

This means you can freely speak, but not without consequences; ie posting serious and/or harmful accusations without evidence could lead to an account ban.
Twitter are adding little blue messages to some of Trump& #39;s tweets because he essentially has diplomatic immunity by being President - whatever he says/does is newsworthy and Twitter sees itself as a news platforn.

When he loses that power, Twitter doesn& #39;t have to accomodate him.
The reason I& #39;m posting this is because recently I had a number of replies to a tweet over the weekend referring to freedom of speech and the idea of Twitter being able to remove it from people.

Twitter cannot take away your freedom of speech, but they ban your Twitter account.
If you have views that you feel are being maligned by moderators, think about the point you want to make and who it impacts.

Then weigh up all the sides, ready yourself for a constructive debate and read the terms of service of the site you& #39;re posting on before hitting publish.
Tweets like this are why I started this thread. I& #39;m talking about Twitter, I& #39;m not talking about governments or politics. It reads like it is deliberately missing the point to create controversy from what was a very simple explanation.
