Families are being denied infant formula based on @UNICEF guidance recommending against the provision of formula at foodbanks, leaving vulnerable babies hungry.

This is leaving parents desperate to feed their babies when they are unable to afford or access formula.

We should remember that despite marketing practices suggesting one type of formula is superior to another, all first infant milks are subject to tight rules on their composition and are nutritionally equivalent, so there should be no concerns about providing the wrong brand.
This is not about promoting formula, or discouraging breastfeeding. This is about ensuring families are able to access suitable food for their child.
