jungwon’s ‘lechugo’ have grew on most of us especially edens who hv been here w/ him since i-land era. the term is used its bcus we find it so cute of him, so during occasions instead of saying ‘let’s go’ we say ‘lechugo’ bcus it reminds us of how adorb he is.

it became a tagline ever since then suddenly this ‘issue’ is brought up now. some are starting to spread that this term shouldn’t be used anymore bcus its disrespectful and is like mocking for some (esp to korean-intl fans) i am aware of the on-going discrimination some of y’all

are going through, and your feelings are valid if you find it offensive you are not insensitive for that and your opinion should be respected.

i respect everyone’s side of this matter bcus i don’t know how hard it may be for some when experiencing getting mocked for your++

pronunciations and etc.

as a (filo) engene who has seen many other engenes using this term for months now, this is my side and i hope y’all will hear me out as well. i have never seen anyone mocking jungw0n for his pronunciation. also there are many other words in which our idols use that

are english but they pronounce it in their own dialect, we use those words too like ‘fighting/payting’ or ‘hwaiting’ and so many others. but we aren’t in any way mocking them, its just the spelling became different and the pronunciation we get from them.

what is mocking ?? it is to laugh at or make fun of (someone or something) especially by copying an action or a way of behaving or speaking.

and tbh i have never seen anyone making fun or laughing at the term ‘lechugo’

to some whose saying that “ITS JUST A WORD WHY NOT JUST LET GO OF IT?” uhm no :(( it is not just a word or any word that i know not only i will just stop using.

whnvr we hear, use or remember this word, it brings back so many memories. and only happy memories, during i-land era

this have became like an instant serotonin booster for most engenes for months.. but now..

again im gonna say, i respect everyone’s opinion on this. do what you want. you can mute the word if you like. but i and every engene i see are not m0cking anyone here. everyone of us here is just so different, we can’t decide for ALL engenes.

so.. my point is, i am gonna continue using this term. this have built so much good memories of my stay here on stan twt, esp it’s from jungwon.

y’all do what u prefer, i am not mocking or spreading hate to anyone of any race here so i hope we can be openminded about this. if u wont use the term anymore, its okay, if we’re moots or ure following me, its up to u whether to unf or mute the word.
