First year, sociology result on the results portal showed 33F. Went to complain, was dismissed. Kept going till the lecturer was tired and told me to check 5 big “Ghana must go” bags for my exam booklet. Found it in the last bag, scored 53 in the exam and it wasn’t recorded. https://twitter.com/ogbenidipo/status/1325376317043433474
Eventually did and had 86A.

Second year, Legal system, my result wasn’t uploaded on the portal. Went to the lecturer’s office, looked at his paper record and said I had 63B. I told him it was impossible as I couldn’t have less than A. Threatened me but didn’t bulge.
Looked at his breakdown and saw that marks for one question in my exam was missing. Had to search through his office till I found it. It wasn’t marked. Ended up with 74A.

Third year, Law of Torts, result came out and I had a C. Went to complain, lecturer showed me the breakdown
Had great scores from 2 questions out of 4, and 2 terrible scores from a lecturer. Advised me to go see him. Appaz, I answered 2 questions from this man who always disagreed with the correct position of the law and would tell us the cases were wrong, the textbook was wrong,
The laws were wrong. So in my “scholar mode” and recognising ‘lex lata de lege ferenda’ (law as it is and not what ought to be), I wrote the correct thing (normal law) in the exam. Baba gave me 6 in both questions and embarrassed me in class for daring to write the law
And not his warped thoughts. Said he was being nice by scoring me 6 in both questions and a cumulative of 12. Funny thing is that that guy is a judge in Ondo State now and I can only imagine the warped judicial pronouncements he would be making as a judge.
Schooling in OAU was an extreme sport.

Or should I remember my second year law of contract, one of the lecturers had failed about 80% of the class and I had a C. Went to the coordinator and he said “Kayode, I know you cannot have a C but manage it”. That shit rang in my head
Throughout OAU. According to him, he was too occupied with trying to upgrade those who had been marked down and so I could manage the C since it wasn’t bad.
Sad thing is, I’m applying for jobs here sometimes and they tell me to list all my courses and results.
How do I explain that a lecturer told me to manage C?
