I can’t QRT but ‘I trust in Him and do not fear the future [under Tr*mp]’ is exactly what an ignorant, straight, white person would say when their freedoms aren’t being challenged by 70 million republican voters
also explicitly saying you voted tr*mp mainly bc you’re pro-life means that you want to make it impossible for women to choose, even where they were victims of rape and/or incest, where they’re in life threatening danger, or where they just want the right to their own body
so it’s not a matter of being ‘pro-life’. you’re only ‘pro-foetus’ above all else, including including the lives of women, people of colour, non cis and non straight people, and the million or so people who died to covid this year worldwide.
and I say this having been raised christian and believing* in god and jesus and heaven

‘love thy neighbour’ means I value the lives of others enough to fight oppression for and alongside them.
I say believing* because I’m not a creationist. I believe the bible was a product of its time and that many of its views are outdated and proven incorrect, like many other historical documents. but jesus’s core teachings - love, acceptance, generosity - are things I hold onto.
and lastly in my long, angry rant - maybe you don’t fear a tr*mpy future, but evil exists in the hearts of his followers and they use jesus’s name to justify it. the people who fear that future are right to be afraid. you are complicit whether you accept it or not.
my very eloquent and good-hearted friend @CharCubed shared this today too. ‘If Jesus is King, what does He stand for?’
