We cannot tire to educate about safety and injury prevention.

The body is largely made up of water. One of these days make some jelly, put it in your hand and throw it against the wall.

Then read up on Makhaya Ntini’s fastest bowling speed and divide that by 2 to get yours.🤪
When a body is inside a car- it moves at whatever speed the car is moving.

When an accident occurs- the car meeting an obstruction(tree, wall, lightpole)- the body continues at that speed into the object nearest- back of seat or steering wheel.
Depending on speed- we can predict the injury.

Just remember that we are also woven into the beings we are. There are strings that keep us together- they are tough but will give under high tension.

And when they give the injuries can be disastrous.
The major blood vessels (aorta) can tear from the heart, ligaments that keep spine together also tear and injury to cord happens, the brain within the skull gets bruises and tears.

This is inside the car- the seatbelt which stops the body from moving can keep the person intact
When ejected out of car- because no seatbelt- it is a mess. It’s the scenario of the jelly against the wall.

There are going to be injuries from motion- body flying out at say 140km/hr plus meeting the obstruction(which is wherever the body lands).
Help arrives and the person is taken to hospital.

Add insult to injury- the injuries are unpredictable- and therefore may be missed and ultimately kill.

On the other hand- the passenger injured in the car- we can predict a little more and manage it a little faster and better.
So wear your seatbelt and have a chance.

And those who drive while drunk- you are irresponsible and dangerous humans that we unfortunately share this world with.

I always hope that when things happen- you will exit alone🤷🏽‍♀️- sadly that’s not the reality.😩
Happy Monday and be safe.

As for speed 😩
