Just off the top of my head, here’s some people who have also seriously harmed sex workers... if you want to expand your list... and how to stop them?
Rep. Chris Smith (R - NJ), architect of the anti-prostitution pledge, who both smeared sex workers’ groups as “pimps” and cut their HIV/AIDS funding https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/supreme-court-strikes-down-anti-prostitution-pledge-us-groups/
This past cycle, he was challenged by his former intern. https://whyy.org/articles/n-j-congressman-chris-smith-to-face-2020-challenge-from-former-intern/ He’ll be up again in 2022.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D - CT) has made a crusade out of taking down sex workers’ ad sites since Craigslist was still around. He was an original cosponsor of SESTA. He’s up in 2022.
In philanthropy, you’ve got Swanee Hunt, Cindy McCain, and the NoVo Foundation. All have funded anti-sex trafficking groups and campaigns which have been harmful to sex workers (like CATW, Equality Now, and World Without Exploitation).
In law enforcement, who isn’t there? But if every law enforcement “anti-trafficking taskforce” which just polices sex work was defunded, that would be a start. Also: dismantle DHS’s “Blue Campaign,” which encourages the public to report sex work to them. (All of DHS tbh can go.)
