I& #39;ve been a fan of Pokémon my whole life, and for a large seven years I& #39;ve dedicated of my whole nerd life to Pokémon and its franchise and series. I& #39;ve been in the deep hole of Pokémon, talking to the likes of top Pokémon players, Pokémon YouTubers, (cont.)
Pokémon staff (Masuda and Sugimori), and all sorts of fans, from the average to hardcore. I& #39;ve played all the games, and practically the spin-off titles an American csn get their hands on and more. I& #39;ve watched the anime, and the specials/OVAs, and read the manga. It (cont.)
wouldn& #39;t be a lie that LOVE Pokémon and its world. But there& #39;s one thing about Pokémon I& #39;ve loved that I& #39;m growing to become worried of: the roleplaying of Pokémon online.

I& #39;ve roleplayed Pokémon since 2012, starting on Google+ as Pokémon& #39;s Red of Pallet Town. He& #39;s (cont.)
been someone I& #39;m associated with to those who know me well. Through RPing him, I& #39;ve met so many talented RPers, and fell in love with Pokémon further, and the characters a lot too.

However, moving platforms from Google+ to Twitter was a big jump in RP for me. I& #39;ve gotten (cont.)
adjusted to the change, and I& #39;ve become a respected writer and friend to the Twitter RP community. It was tough, but I made it. However, in the two years I& #39;ve been on this site, the Pokémon verse is the verse I& #39;ve stayed in the shortest amount of time. It& #39;s weird that (cont.)
the series I love so much and laid the groundwork for my RP career is the series I neglect the most on Twitter RP. This is not due to lost interest in the series, in fact I& #39;m still strong for Pokémon, probably more now than ever. So, what& #39;s the problem? It& #39;s the writers (cont.)
in the Pokémon verse that ruin it for me. There& #39;s problems in it, but there& #39;s good in it, don& #39;t worry. I just feel like the verse can do a lot better. It& #39;s Pokémon, afterall. We all love it, so I& #39;m sure the ones who love it would love to fix and make it great.

This (cont.)
thread is in hopes for the verse to read, take note into, and hopefully grow from. Let& #39;s get started!
𝟏. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐰𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚, 𝐏𝐨𝐤𝐞́𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚)

This is the part a lot of people have a problem, and I sincerely place it high because its the one that needs to be dealt with first.

Now, I understand. You& #39;re horny. I get horny too, we (cont.)
all feel that sensation. However, Pokémon is a CHILDREN& #39;S GAME. The Internet is quickly getting in the hands of children, and Twitter is a growing app. Searching for Pokémon content and seeing your lewd focused accounts for whatever Pokémon character in the results is (cont.)
growing likelier and likelier each day, and it& #39;s not just Twitter& #39;s search system, it seeps to Google too. In my search for Pokémon content on Google Images, I& #39;ve come across lewd accounts& #39; pinned images on the image search engine. It just... Disgusts me.

It& #39;s not (cont.)
just me, many other writers across Twitter RP feel the lewd focused section of the Pokémon verse. Usually on the regards to the pedophilia and Poképhilia.

No way you cut it, both topics should NOT be RPed. They& #39;re both disgusting topics, and for some places can (cont.)
get you in trouble. The depiction of pedophilia can definitely have repercussions, and Poképhilia, although not stated, can definitely be a form of zoophilia, and that is definitely gives repercussions as well.

To many, they& #39;re disgusting, and totally shines a bad light (cont.)
on the Pokémon verse. I& #39;ve met people who apart of the verse aho hate these accounts too, so I& #39;m glad some are against it.

Don& #39;t get me wrong, the pure lewd accounts that forbid pedophilia and Poképhilia are totally fine to stay, but there needs to be caution with (cont.)
them. A good suggestion is placing warnings that it& #39;s an 18+ account (although, mind you this shouldn& #39;t be the only thing to do as it doesn& #39;t help all the time), having the account private, and/or keeping the lewd content in DMs and censor their postings as much as (cont.)
possible.

I hope these suggestions can be taken. I want there to be less publicly shown lewd activity in the verse, and definitely get rid of the pedophilia and Poképhilia. Next point.
𝟐. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠

There& #39;s tight groups in all Twitter verses. It& #39;s nice to have a friend group. But from what I& #39;ve heard, there& #39;s a small part of the verse that bullies and chastises writers. It& #39;s seriously not cool. The pettiness makes me upset and (cont.)
furious. Most writer& #39;s first verse is the Pokémon verse, because many people experienced it when young. There& #39;s many impressionable young writers on this site, and some aren& #39;t perfect people. The ones who go after these individuals and hound them and bully them off the (cont.)
site... Can you call yourself a writer? It& #39;s just sick, and disgusting. We need to definitely be kinder in the verse, and that& #39;s my second point. Next.
𝟑. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐑𝐏𝐬

Before we begin, there& #39;s nothing wrong with crack RP. It& #39;s fun, and it& #39;s fine. But the verse has a large majority of it. As I& #39;ve said, I& #39;ve done a lot of Pokémon RPing in my days, and I& #39;ve crafted many detailed plots. There& #39;s a lot of SL (cont.)
potential to Pokémon. I have so many ideas. Flashbacking to previous events in the canon, dream matchup battles, and even crossovers (SMT/Persona, Digimon, Yo-Kai Watch are just some to name). I feel like it& #39;s not something that people take advantage of. I hope to see (cont.)
RPs like these someday. They would bring a lot of people in the verse together, and hype everyone together.
𝟒. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

I& #39;ve said a lot, and I hope the point I& #39;ve made can ring true to some. These are just personal problems I can list from the top of my head. Is the Pokémon verse bad? No! Definitely not. I just feel like it& #39;s in need of a good cleaning, that (cont.)
has been needed for a long while. Pokémon is having it& #39;s 25th anniversary next year, and I hope to see things changed in the verse for 2021. With effort and work, the Pokémon verse can be the best and most exciting verse of all Twitter RP.

That& #39;s all I have to say. Thank (cont.)
for reading this far. This thread became 26 tweets long. Guess I had a lot to say. To all Pokémon fans, remember: Gotta Catch & #39;Em All!!
