when he first read dal mi’s letters he couldn’t understand her metaphors, but when he met her it just clicked. he ~got~ her instantly.
and that led to what is to me a key difference between him and ji pyeong. he was curious about her, and about her letters. where ji pyeong just wanted to be done with it, do san wanted to know her.
he’s very factual & scientific yet when explaining his interests to dal mi he didn’t belittle her like the others, he explained it in such a way that she could understand it
dal mi has an idealised ver. of “do san” in her mind from the letters. and part of this, is this idea that he’s always on her side. and then in reality, you have the real do san - who is actually always on her side
he’s constantly standing up for her and protecting her
dal mi was glad he wasn’t this hotshot ceo - because she felt like she could relate to him more
he respects her and believes in her abilities regardless of any romantic feelings
they want to be their best selves for each other
on their first official day when he tells his dad no one dresses so formally at Sandbox - and then both he and dal mi show up in suits
(fyi: this thread isn't about their otp scenes but rather why he is such a good match for her. and in many ways, how he embodies the ver. of "do san" she had created in her mind)
