So far, what little commentary I’ve seen from TV pundits on their interpretation of what happened during this election, has been exceptionally weak. It reveals the other side of “how we got here” in 2020. The coddling deferential treatment of Republicans was pathetic.

They say Republicans were given some edict by the voters to divide government. Is that how Rep seats are won? Never a discussion of gerrymandering when it counts. No talk of minority pop states getting unequal sway over much larger states (which = more people).

They coddle the Republicans and say voters are with them and they picked up seats in the House. Well, so far Dems picked up at a seat in Senate and Rs don’t have a majority yet. Which would still not mean a majority of voters, just a majority of Senators. No talk of obstruction.

No talk of them allowing 240k people to die under their watch, not Trump’s. Trump couldn’t do anything without their compliance. They allowed him to commit crimes and treason. No discussion of how the overwhelming majority of voters rejected that. Another one term POTUS again.

No discussion of why they mismanaged government again and didn’t pass meaningful legislation. Just talk of how we must understand people who vote for a criminal. There is nothing to convince those voters. Assholes are allowed to vote too. And they’ll gladly vote for the asshole.

Meanwhile, Dems are asked how are you going to deal with AOC as if that’s all we have to think about right now. No discussion of how justice will be served on a criminal WH teeming with violations. No talk of building up the presidency against despots and unfit criminals.

No talk of how Democrats assembled the most diverse, largest coalition of voters in American history. No discussion about how Americans are feeling who voted against this 4 year nightmare. Look at the spontaneous dancing in the streets all over the country. Where’s the talk on it

They made a big deal about boat parades and Trump trains. What do they call unbridled joy and celebration from one coast to the other over the defeat of the Trump regime? Democrats did that. Where’s the real analysis of the win? These pundits are weak.
