i think an aspect of Majora& #39;s Mask that people don& #39;t praise enough is how it shows off Link& #39;s personality
obviously he& #39;s still almost entirely a blank slate, but he has tiny little character moments that i think are really effective:

when he meets the Deku princess, she introduces herself as the princess, and Link& #39;s immediate reaction is to bow
it gives me the sense that he& #39;s very respectful and chivalrous which fits Link perfectly
there& #39;s a similar moment when Mikau dies and tells Link his final words:

there& #39;s a similar moment when Mikau dies and tells Link his final words:
Link makes him a grave, carves Mikau& #39;s words into it, and then he takes a moment of silence (bowing)
again, makes him feel respectful and very mature for his age, which makes sense, because after the events of OoT you get the feeling that he& #39;s never gonna truly be a kid again

one more of these "Link is respectful" moments is when Link beats Skull Keeta, and Keeta asks Link to tell his soldiers the war has ended, so that he can rest in peace. then Keeta says "captain, sir! may I take my leave, sir!"
Link hesitates for a long time, because he knows--

--that if he says yes then Keeta will be fully dead, but eventually Link salutes him and Keeta just kinda disappears
like i say, this makes Link seem super mature, and there& #39;s also a slight hint of goofiness with the exaggerated motion of his salute
