i really need people to understand that israel deserves harsh criticism. anger is VALID, express it, but invoking our genocide that happened before israel even existed and laughing about it is VILE. it hurts the entire jewish community. most of us don’t even fucking live there.

and to reiterate my initial point, the original tweet that started it was FINE. you are allowed to feel that. you aren’t wrong to feel that. trust me. i don’t have positive feelings towards israel either, but attacking all jewish people like this is NOT punching up.

the individual jewish people who work for the israeli government do have power, and they abuse that power to cause extreme harm, but jews as a global population do not have privilege and are not oppressors. please understand what kind of hate you’re tapping into when you do this.
