I feel like I& #39;ve found myself in a circle of primarily white leftist men, and it& #39;s real angry over here 99% of the time

A lot of discourse that& #39;s so venomous it only really exists on the internet, no one I& #39;ve met is actually that mad in real life...

And I know I& #39;ve absorbed it.

So I guess moving forward, this is my public assertion to the 5 or so people that actually interact with me on Twitter, that I& #39;m going to try to be more compassionate as we move forward.

I think there& #39;s a way to do that without shaking the hands of white supremacists.

At least I hope there is? I don& #39;t know about everyone else, but I just wanna create a better world. For me, that starts with saving it. Getting others to care about the environment. Nothing else matters in the long run if our planet goes to shit.

I really hope there& #39;s common ground there, on the right, on the center, on the left. There has to be. We might disagree on how to fix it, but the decision has to be collaborative, built from the people. It& #39;s going to affect everyone, and soon.

By the way, this not Step 1 towards my own white complacency underneath a Joe Biden presidency, and I want to warn all others against that. We can& #39;t be complacent. We need to fight for others, but we& #39;re also going to need to recruit others to our side.
