I think the HBCU vs PWI conversation is soooooooo stupid...

Aside from it being elitist, and honestly, anti-Black... it’s rather redundant in the sense that before integration, Black people didn’t have an option to go to a Negro school or not...

Like you’re saying HBCU’s don’t prepare you for the real world, but what were they doing before 1960? What were ANY of these schools doing before the Civil Rights Act?

Furthermore, Black college students were a catalyst for the Civil Rights & Black Power movements, so it’s damn near a slap in those ancestors faces who fought for the “equality” that allows Black folks to enter predominately white spaces.

Let’s be real, take whatever educational opportunity is present for you, that makes the most sense for your family... but, if I could give any advice, don’t spend your money with people who don’t respect your personhood. Racism shouldn’t be a right of passage to the “real world”

You have your entire life to be the “only Black person” in a space... take 4 years to not be, it’ll change your life.

In short, we calling folks out for being racist if they slander HBCU’s, because the good sis Kamala Harris is is PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE
