Alright #Denver and why not let’s see if we can get some help from our liberal friends #BidenHarris2020 there are several amazing #MutualAid individuals and orgs that do grassroot work to provide food, winter survival gear and so much more to 6K+ unhoused all across #Colorado

Help us; help our neighbors survive the cold front coming. The following accounts are helping those that cities like #Denver and #Boulder won’t. @cocomradecoll @ColoradoCajun9 @sicktireddead @Friendsoforsakn @mamahulksmash and myself. We need tents, blankets, sleeping bags.

Hand warmers, Socks. Monetary donations are also appreciated; full transparency is part of #MutualAid with $50. Some ingenuity and soda cans or terra cotta pots we can heat tents for hundreds of people for days.

When I give even just one set of hand warmers to a neighbor I regularly get told “these are life savers” or “you put these in your sleeping bag and you stay warm the whole night”. The emergency blankets are the same thing. So let’s save lives. Donate to our denver collective.

A simple soda can, large soup can or an amazing terra cotta pot heater with some tea lights can be the difference between freezing to death or surviving the cold temps coming tonight. $50 = 1.2k tea light candles from @IKEAUSA that came out to over 180 DAYS of heat

But the very next day our mutual aid collective including @0Fucks_Left and @FeralFreaky distributed all of them to hundreds of people. #unhousednotunloved

Let’s not forget our Northern Colorado comrades @AidFoothills and @NoCoCMAD who do the same work the #Denver collective does but in rural and republican area where our unhoused neighbors get even less support.

All the orgs and individuals I’ve tagged in this post; have no requirements for who or when we help our neighbors. Unhoused or not, you approach them during one of their distribution times and ask for some food or for some socks. You get it. This isn’t charity. This is #MutualAid

A brief explanation: Mutual aid participants work together to figure out strategies and resources to meet each other's needs, such as food, housing, medical care, and disaster relief, while organizing themselves against the system that created the shortage in the first place.
