Real talk: If Trump had a policy to arbitrarily snatch Black children out of their homes in the name of "law and order" or whatever B.S. excuse, a large percentage of Trump voters would have shrugged and been like "I'm sure there's a good reason"

I don't care if they're sad.

We watched Trump supporters and GOP enablers shrug their shoulders during horror after horror. If they wake up from their spell and want to help the rest of us w/racial injustice, climate change, pandemic, immigration, health care & economic parity, welcome. If not, keep crying.

The whole GOP playbook is "No fair! Cease fire!" and then try to roll over us with a tank. Appeasement doesn't work. Coalition means welcoming true allies, not courting those who actively try to hurt us at the first opportunity. Let's fight for what we actually WANT.

I didn't need the horrors of Trump's SECOND term to see where we were already headed. Fight voter suppression, support progressive policies & let's do better than "democracy surviving" as we move forward. We deserve better than "surviving." Now let's work to THRIVE.

The right/far right has an entire alternate universe in its TV, radio and conspiracy theories. You can't bargain with people who literally live in a different reality. We should spend that energy on self-care & promoting the policies we care about to people who can hear reason.

And of course there’s the racism. There’s no “convincing” people to cooperate when they oppose policies based on racist fears of demographic shifts & not wanting people who are “Other” to thrive too, even if they would thrive with us.

LOL at conservatives shaking fingers at Dems for "demonizing" & telling us to work with them when the GOP won't ACKNOWLEDGE THE OUTCOME OF THE ELECTION. That's not even counting the fascism.
