OK. So we are supposed to try to find a way to find and build on common ground with Trump folks. For America.

I understand the premise. I agree on the theory.

Here is were I struggle. I am supposed to find common ground with folks who supported an Administration that:

1/
1. Made separation of families at the border a policy, not an unfortunate side affect.
2. Would not call out White Supremecy/Nationalism with any integrity or direct Government Agencies to fight against it.
3. Blatantly lied on any issue large or small.

2/
4. Attacked Gold Star families while privately disparaging the motives of our volunteer military members.
5. Encouraged bullying and violence against those with differing views.
6. The list goes on and on......

3/
To me, it is the lack of empathy, the lack of morality, the denial of proven facts, and the cruelty of the beliefs of Trump supporters that makes it SO hard for me to think common ground exists.

4/
Yes. I love my country. Just like they do.
Yes. I love my family and want to protect them from danger.

But the country I love is not the country they love. THEY are the danger I want to protect my family from.

I'll keep looking for it, but the common ground is not obvious.
