If we could stop judging politicians solely on their Israel-Palestine stance; that would be lovely.
Don’t get me wrong, I do believe that ones stance on Palestine can definitely reflect their values in general
BUT

I don’t think we should just ask
“are they pro-Palestine?” & then stop.
We should not want leaders who are pro-Palestine yet comfortably oppress others. When we judge politicians, we must judge them holistically

Joe & Kamala are problematic for a host of reasons - to the point where even if they *were* pro-Palestine, it still wouldn’t compensate for their complicity in human rights violations.
We need to be calling for global human rights
We need to be calling for global human rights
The problem with hypercontextuality is that we start becoming 1-issue people.
I don’t want leaders who agitate for Palestinians rights ONLY. I want leaders who enforce human rights in every single situation regardless of ideology, religion, geography, sexuality

For majority of our lives the Palestine conflict has been the biggest & most significant. Hopefully that will one day change with the eventual liberation of Palestine.
& then other oppressions will be most significant & we have to be committed to fighting for that liberation too

Being pro-Palestinian can never wash the blood from your other oppressions off your hands
