Dave told @altnation that #MedicineAtMidnight is referred to as @foofighters “New old record” & they sat on it a long time waiting “for things to go back to normal”
But it’s finally being released as;
“People aren’t going out and doing stuff together - they need music.”

#MedicineAtMidnight came after looking at their 9 albums to see what they hadn’t done, and the answer according to Dave was “a groove-orientated, party record.”

“It’s hard to put the words dance or funk or disco in the same sentence as Foo Fighters. It scares the shit outta me.”

“All of us grew up loving rock’n’roll records you could bounce around to like The Cars or David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’ or The Power Station or The Stones ‘Tattoo You’.
