Random Questions on Georgia Minds--Double Runoff Edition:
Will a lame-duck President Trump really bother to get involved in the two Senate runoff races here (when there's the lure of golf, tweets &c )? What's that going to look like?
After a certain point does it really matter how much $$ Dems spend in Georgia? Jaime Harrison was a good candidate in SC. He ran smart ads. He was likable. He had $100 million. (Once more, with feeling: One. Hundred. Million. Dollars). Aaaaand... he lost.
GOP tends to do better turning out voters in runoff elections. Will GOP base, after the sting of a Trump loss, be extra motivated to turn out, given the fact that control of the Senate is in the balance?
And/Or: Can Democrats surf the excitement of the Biden win and turn their voters out in huge numbers yet again?

Or will Democratic voters, pleased with their work knocking Trump off his perch, feel like their work here is done?
Will David Perdue come up with a stronger argument than, "My opponent is a radical socialist?" (There are only so many anti-Chavista Venezuelans in Georgia last I checked).
Will Democrats be able to successfully weaponize Loeffler's full-on embrace of Qanon-supporting Marjorie Taylor Greene? Does that message work as base-mobilization, or will it show more up in ads meant to suppress enthusiasm among Reality-Based Republicans?
Can Warnock find a way to win over a significant number of new white supporters by reminding them he shares their faith? (He told me a couple of weeks ago that he'd hoped, pre-Corona, to attend Bible studies in white conservative parts of Georgia.)
Will Warnock be able to even get a hearing with the bulk of white evangelicals, given the fact that he favors abortion rights? (His abortion stance will be a *huge* talking point for Loeffler & her allies. In fact, it already is).
How many REM & B-52s references will me the & other lamestream NYT Gen Xers subject y'all to before this is all over? (& How many Lil Baby references will absolve us?) :)
Will Doug Collins's supporters stay home -- either because they're angry that Loeffler beat their guy (and called him a liberal -- fighting words!), or because they think it is Ms. Loeffler who is, in fact, the RINO?
Now that the Trump Train is kind of dinged up, to what extent will Perdue & Loeffler continue to hitch their wagons to it?
If you're following from afar, are you following @stphnfwlr , @TIAreports , @bluestein ?
How will Trump's continued insistence that the election was rigged (and his general comportment on Twitter & in meatspace) affect these two races?
To what extent will the fight over a lame-duck corona stimulus package impact the Double Georgia drama?
And what of corona itself?
(Oh... and what, exactly, does pivoting to the center look like after you bear-hug the world's best-known Qanon conspiracy spreader?)
(Or maybe that whole run to the center thing won't be a thing in Georgia in January?)
The runoffs are Tuesday, January 5. Sing, Zebulon!:
