It badly lacks forward momentum. Too episodic. Not enough of an overarching plot. I’m sure it will pick up at some point, but it feels like viewers are being strung along for an unnecessarily looooong ride right now, imo. Let me just add that outside of a couple core characters, the dialogue and especially the acting are quite underwhelming for a project based on the biggest franchise in film history. Fourth-wall-breaking, clunky acting. Amy Sedaris in particular couldn’t be less believable.

A few things I really appreciate about it, though: cool sets, occasional gorgeous shots, and a fun commitment to practical effects.
