And let's be real, we're never going to be grantes our rights because we rightfully should be, I feel like the path to having rights is basically politicians thinking granting us rights will earn them favour amongst cis ppl who want us to have rights

Which is really depressing but hey, if we get rights we get rights, so if it works it works the fact that he mentioned trans ppl in his speech is a hopeful sign IMO

Not much hope for the same thing happening in Australia anytime soon tho

It's important we and our allies light a fire beneath them and keep the pressure up though
