So #RWBY8 has arrived. So it's time for the usual: "The Anim Producer gets sappy on Twitter!"
Each volume I've worked on has been its own challenge. Going into Vol 8, I thought maybe we had it down The Anim Team went through several changes, and was feeling stronger than ever!

The work from home orders came down just days before we were scheduled to start animation - just days before several new hires, and amazing rehires, were set to start work! (Some people on the #CRWBY this volume have never even been to the studio....)
One thing I love about the animators is that they are so welcoming to everyone who joins the team. It was heartening to see that wasn't lost just because we weren't in the same space anymore. They immediately set to work not just animating, but lifting spirits and making plans.
This is a group of artists who don't just care about growing their own skills, but the skills of those around them.
My job does involve shifting things around, but that doesn't change how I smile whenever I get a Slack that says, "Hey Jenn, does anyone on the team need help?"

Now I know I can only really speak to the animation team (which, let me emphasize, is only a PART of the #CRWBY - read the credits, please). But I'm pretty confident that the same is true in every other department. We're all one team of friends/coworkers who care about this show.
Being #CRWBY is not only about skill, it's about having a willingness to learn, grow, and respect your peers.
(And in terms of being a CRWBY Animator, it's also about being able to answer the age-old question: "What is your favorite dinosaur and what sound does it make?"

Anyway, that was a long thread, (not) sorry - but I just have a lot of FEELINGS!
Because I'm a fan. A fan of these folks that show up to work, with their silly avatars, or webcams that only point at their pets, ready to make the best damn volume of #RWBY you've seen so far!
