Prior to this weekends fixtures, these are the per-90 statistics of each of the traditional top 6 club’s left-back.

Ben Chilwell tops the charts so far with Reguilon very close behind.
Ben Chilwell: WhoScored rating 7.41

- 684 minutes
- 1.1 tackles
- 1.3 interceptions
- 2.3 clearances
- 0.9 dribbles
- 3 goals
- 2 assists
- 1.8 key passes

Has been the outstanding left-back so far this season. Fitting in so well.
Sergio Reguilon: WhoScored rating 7.16

- 1.6 tackles
- 1.4 interceptions
- 1.4 clearances
- 1.1 dribbles
- 1 goal
- 2 assists
- 1.6 key passes.

Really promising start to his life at Spurs, they’ll be hoping that buyback clause isn’t triggered.
Luke Shaw: WhoScored rating 6.95

- 1.7 tackles
- 1.2 interceptions
- 1.7 clearances
- 0.4 dribbles
- 1 own goal
- 0 goals
- 2 assists
- 1.2 key passes

As you’d expect from Luke Shaw these days, nothing special. Shame that his career hasn’t gone the way it was expected.
Andrew Robertson: WhoScored rating 6.84

- 0.8 tackles
- 1 interception
- 1.6 clearances
- 0.8 dribbles
- 1 goal
- 2 assists
- 1.4 key passes

Slow start from Robertson. No doubt he will improve but that needs to happen soon.
Kieran Tierney: WhoScored rating 6.48

- 0.3 tackles
- 1 interception
- 2.8 clearances
- 0.3 dribbles
- 0 goals
- 0 assists
- 0.5 key passes

For a team with the most solid defence, Tiernay has been pretty average. I rate him as a player and I’m sure he will improve.
Manchester City’s left-backs (Mendy, Zinchenko and even Cancelo) have not played over 500 minutes so they weren’t included in this.
