Bush 43 inherited James Baker from his dad.

There's no substitute for the savvy and gravitas a Jim Baker brings to these efforts.

But, @JonahDispatch, are several other differences I don't think even the legendary Jim Baker gets now: https://twitter.com/JonahDispatch/status/1325456746597519362
1) While the press was hardly neutral 20 years ago, they weren't as openly in the pocket for the Democrats, and especially radical Democrats, as today's press is. We're not going to get any of the controversial facts from them.
2) The issues surrounding the vote were different. 2000 wasn't so much about malfeasance as it was how to read sloppy ballots. Today it's both. And...
...it's in the context of a highly politicized pandemic that caused authorities to either panic regarding voting or actively not let a (debatable) crisis go to waste.
3) And there's recent history. Democrats and journalists fabricated evidence they hoped would remove this president from office. Even last week their 2016 candidate reiterated her assertion that the election was stolen from her. I saw no blowback from the media. Did you?
Oh,

In 2000 there was no Twitter, which is worthy of a much longer thread of its own.
