Want to put a marker on this, and I am willing to be wrong, but despite the talk I will be surprised if Trump launches a Trump TV network after he leaves office.

Launching a whole-ass TV network, let alone a cable channel where someone else (Fox) has first-mover advantage, is HARD. When has Donald Trump ever successfully launched a difficult business from scratch?

The Trump Organization? Got it from Dad. “The Apprentice”? Mark Burnett.

What he has done, since his businesses crashed in the late 80s, is lent his name to others. MAYBE I could see him taking, like, an OAN if someone agrees to bankroll it. Or maybe he cobbles together some online “network” but then what is he? Glenn Beck? Pfft.

More to the point, Trump craves not behind-the-scenes power but attention. I could see a TV *show,* or a talk-radio show (as he actually contemplated doing *while president*). Just two hours a day to talk and be listened to. And/or another campaign. But that’s just guessing.

Anyway, I have been wrong about DJT before, and I can certainly imagine Jared or somebody spending a lot of someone else’s $ on a venture if he gets his hands on it. I just don’t see Trump suddenly becoming a pioneering business founder for the first time in his life. /end

Maybe? The hurdle being that someone else needs to buy & run it for him.
