When people advise "just" cutting off family over political divides, they ignore the disabled people who depend on caretakers and, frankly, who aren& #39;t ALLOWED to make more than a certain threshold or their benefits get wiped, but it& #39;s not enough to live on on its own.

They also ignore kids in school who have nowhere to go while they finish their education.

And queer kids who& #39;d struggle to find housing, particularly trans kids.

Elderly people... who depend on family to get around.

Absolutely challenge damaging rhetoric, but understand that for a lot of Americans WHO DID do "the right thing" with their votes, they can& #39;t "just" do anything like write off their families.
