I’m going to post a synopsis of things I’ve learned to date about miracles.
God can do miracles but people can do miracles as well. There is no gift of miracles in the Bible. 1 Corinthians 12:10 speaks of the gift of working or effecting miracles. The miracle worker does the miracle.
This one was hard to wrap my mind around but many times when I would be praying for healing God would say “Don’t ask me, you do it.” To give me practice.
What is needed to work a miracle? The most important thing is to believe it’s possible. Most of us raised in the Western World see the world through the lens of Scientific Materialism. We see a world that is solid and constant, material cause and effect.
God has gone to great lengths to train me out of that. I’m a retired scientist so that is how I view the world. As a Christian I did what many do and took the material world and added a layer of “God magic” to explain the miracles I’d heard about.
But I’ve been shown that’s not the way the universe really works. Early in life I used to have problems with concepts like the virgin birth, how exactly did that happen? Did an egg cell double its chromosomes and start dividing? Questions like that.
But I’ve come to learn that what was doesn’t have to stay that way. A fertilized egg cell can literally appear in a womb without any previous material. Cancer cells that exist in a body can literally disappear. A genetic condition can literally disappear.
The biggest factor impeding this is our belief. Most would put it as lack of belief but there is never a lack of belief. We always believe something. But if we believe that a diagnosis of cancer means certain events will happen it makes those events ‘solid’.
As a scientist I know this is incompatible with what we know of Quantum Mechanics. Nothing is ‘solid’, everything is a probability function.
I’m far from alone in this. Many people have been told by God that a miracle can be described as “popping a quiff” (quiff=QWF=quantum wave function). What exists as a complex probability function can instantly change to another state of being.
I once asked God how miracles happen and received a vision. I saw a road with a fork in it, left and right. I could see partly down both paths. I came to understand (from God) the right side path was the good path.
I ‘chose’ it in the spirit and it became clear and focused. The other faded away.

A way to visualize this is to imagine two timelines, two paths that might happen because of a choice. In quantum mechanics both exist until observed (belief).
The sense from the vision is that we can choose the better path and make it real, that what has already happened can be undone and another circumstance replaces it. God will give the direction and provide the power but we need to make the choice and believe.
As a real life example recently when Arizona was called for Biden it seemed ‘wrong’ that this was not God’s will. I ‘chose’ the reality where enough votes were counted for Trump that he won the state. https://mobile.twitter.com/STLLALIV/status/1323883729589215232">https://mobile.twitter.com/STLLALIV/...
Declaring is another way of expressing the idea of choosing. Time will tell if this works. At the time I saw 204 several times and ‘chose’ that Trump would win by 204 votes. I’ve done this many times and it rarely works exactly as I saw it so 204 was a goal, not an absolute.
I’ve seen this move hurricanes https://mobile.twitter.com/STLLALIV/status/1167248941697527808">https://mobile.twitter.com/STLLALIV/...
I’ve seen it change a ruptured appendix into a healthy appendix https://mobile.twitter.com/STLLALIV/status/1205222047804059648">https://mobile.twitter.com/STLLALIV/...
I had a dream once where God said “Because of the season anyone with the gift of faith can ask for the gift of working miracles and it will be given. If you lack the gift of faith, ask and it will be given”
It is a learning process but one he wants to support so would encourage you to ask. There is a lot more available than we ask for because it never even occurs to us to ask.
My understanding of miracles is similar to what many others believe. Two things I’ve learned in the last few years that are less common. Worship can be seen as a power source a available for us to use and time is much different than we imagine.
I was in a worship service and God showed me the worship rising up like waves of energy. He said “It’s available for you to use”. I use it very effectively in spiritual warfare. You can see this biblically when David calmed Saul’s demons with worship music.
Listen to the words of recent worship songs and you can hear this thread of thought. “My praise is a weapon” or the story behind the song “Raise a Hallelujah” https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=awkO61T6i0k">https://m.youtube.com/watch...
