Ok Sunday arvie fun thought experiment... 2 competing hypothesis about US elections, which is the likely one?

H1: Bad things happened & I lost what I had already won

H2: Most interference in USA elections comes from misinformation campaigns

In support of H1, the head of USA admin argues as fact that same system that won him the election in 2016, & that he has controlled for 4 yrs, has been corrupted in such a way in those 4 yrs as to deliver him 71 mill valid votes but falsify others by tens of thousands votes?

I could stop there, but it’s Sunday and fun day, so what would the movie script to steal the US election look like?

You’d need a shadow org. You’d need a mobile rapid-response unit with capacity to print & complete absentee ballots with false identity backup in the thousands.

Every absentee ballot requires a voter ID & usually some kind of corroborating evidence. And you’d have to vary choices on Senate, House, School Boards & marijuana questions as to not to create patterns of completion

You’d need ability to drip feed those manipulated ballots into a range of counties that wouldn’t set off alarms. At point of voting or ballot drop off.

Or intro them into counting stations at low but consistent numbers. Meaning over days.

“Dumps” would ring bells

The critical “swing” states turned out to be Georgia, Arizona, Nevada & Philly.

But you wouldn’t know that at the start.

Given most states counted in-person ballots before absentee, you’d have to hang back to see where both were trending before deploying rapid response teams?

So Central Shadow Command would on Wed eve have dispatched teams to counties in 4 different states to print local county ballots, complete them by hand and then insert them into the system without anyone noticing?

That’s quite a large op with lots of moving parts & people?

Alternatively controlling counting stations would mean corrupting sleeper agents in critical counting stations. Including workers/volunteers & Repub & Dem officers that were already inside

But again how would you know which was a critical counting station to corrupt beforehand?

To satisfy H1 without getting bust would take a vast org capacity & cost big big bucks, rely on absolute secrecy (no mistakes, no confessions, no drunken Freudian slips) & be in place undiscovered for long periods to enable the drip feed

Eish, only a movie could do that?

The implausibility of H1 would seem to prove H2?

The question then becomes whether:

A. The President is deliberately misinforming?

B. His intuitive response to losing had the unintended consequence of resulting in H2?
