One thing I've noticed, as a man, – at least in my personal experience – is that I feel at peace when I'm working. I'm fulfilling part of the duties of my creation role.
It's when I finally started working again that I realized a lot of the anxieties and stresses I had when I was unemployed were as a direct result of my very state of complacency (not working). I have now been working full time yet God has give me so much peace in the midst.
I feel that when I'm working there is a heart of excellency that is placed upon me, (joy, peace etc.) Whereas when I was not working and had a lot of down time, the enemy had been working over time to heat the fire on those thoughts, doubts and anxieties.
Working again has also given me more understanding on the importance of a Sabbath day. A rest day. When God said He made the Sabbath for man, He knew exactly why and the importance thereof.
Lastly, to my brothers, I know a lot of us feel a burden to want to provide. The world tends to only assess our value as a man by our ability to provide. And to that, I say, let us not be discouraged, as sons of the Most High God, we are connected to the highest provider...
Psalm 1:3/Jeremiah 17:8, we are like trees planted near the living water bearing good fruit and green leaves in season. If you are lacking work opportunities or a job, ask the Lord, it shall be given to you. The original word the Lord gave to Adam after the fall was one of work.
Meaning that it is written in our genetic code as a man, to work. So if you ask God for an opportunity to work, even in these times, I'm more than positive He will open the floodgates of opportunities to you. He is the Most High God, in higher places than those in high places.
SN/ The Lord Jesus Christ has already fulfilled us, men of God. So do not let the pressures of the world tell you that you are any less of a man because you struggle to find or have not found work to be a provider to others yet but rather continue to supplicate the Lord.
A Good Father will make sure to mould His sons into great providers just like Himself.
