Been thinking about what if the Mighty Nein met Elysian's nine. Like. How would that go down.

I think it goes without saying that Will would look at Beau and just go "friend." They are both wild, angry, sleeve hating fighters, with a huge capacity for love. Underground bareknuckle boxing champ, & the "i punch rock monsters and giants" monk?? Pop fucking pop

Also with cowboy Fjord, Will would hear him talk and do that swatting-to-get-someone's-attention thing at Tory because it's the SAME VOICE! And then she'd rope them into pranks together. Because why not?

Fjord and Tory would have *the most* boring conversations together, according to everyone else, but they'd be riveted by them. I just know they would. Sarcastic manly men that they are. Weapons, sailing life, mercenary life... whatever.

Willow and Gideon would adore being around Caduceus. His vibe, his energy, his aura... they would just sit there with him drinking tea and OH Willow even collects butterflies! Gideon knows the name of every discovered fungal strain there is!

Vaani would also enjoy vibing with Caduceus. But her & Caleb would probably talk for days, tbh. Just away in her room for days, with all her books & teas. She knows a lot. & there, Caleb would find out about Dust. Like, "you have MAGIC in this world? Then why doesn't mine work!?"

(The funny thing is, if it's not magic learned from books but given or known innately, it'd still work.) Anyway, Kayne and Jester would get along like a house on fire and be a nightmare. Which tells you a lot about Kayne. He would also be kind of in love with Molly.

Zair and Yasha would be silent best mates. They even sound kind of alike when they talk. Zair's dark like a starless sky, Yasha's pale like the moon. He uses two swords, she has one big one. They would be so intimidating together, but really, they're just playing Go Fish :)

Bas and Nott, also Bas and Veth. Tiny women best friends.

I really think this is revealing a whole lot about my characters, to people who watch or listen to CR and also read my Elysian content.

I really think Caleb would be very interested in learning about the Rebellion as well, and Ezhimal would like him in the same way she likes Tory. (She loves To- oh my god they're both traumatised redhead fire boys.) And he would also love to see Dust in action.

I could see Caleb getting along with everyone on Elysian, quite well, except for Bas. But she is grating. I feel like he would enjoy learning all about the future tech on board Elysian, in the engine, from university educated engineer who loves what he does, Kayne.

You know what. Tory & Yasha would become friends just in all the time they spend watching Will & Beau spar. They'd start bringing a charcuterie board down to graze on, cut oranges and waterbottles for the girls, towels to wipe the sweat away... bonding. (This is hilarious to me)

Now, if the Nein weren't suddenly transported out of their plane of existence onto the ship, and it was Elysian's crew who walked into the Nein's camp (or, close to), it might be a little different. God this thread is such a niche I love it here
