Confession time: I’m not relieved about the presidency yet. Trump has two months left in office and you know he’s not gonna bow out gracefully.
I would not be surprised if he nukes North Korea on January 19th or something else drastic like that. Just because he can. Because he wants to set Biden up for failure and then claim “look how poorly Biden is running things.” He will use it to attempt re-election in 2024.
This nightmare isn’t over yet. We can simply see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Therefore, I think it’s important that we certainly keep calling out Trump for all his crap. And I think it’s equally important we also call out Biden for all of his crap. We need to show the nation that we’re the party of reason. Of compassion. Of justice. Of peace.
We must resist the urge to treat conservatives the same way they’ve treated us the past four years. Because let’s face it: they can dish it out, but they just can’t take it in. They won’t listen to such speech, just like we didn’t listen when they said it.
We must address them calmly, kindly, and intelligently. People won’t listen to hateful rhetoric. But a few just might listen to reason when presented in a respectful manner.
Biden has said on numerous occasions that he will not be the president of just those who voted for him; he will be the president of every American. He is calling us to unity. But that has to start with us.
I’m not saying forget Trump’s crimes against humanity and his followers’ support of them. I’m just saying their way of thinking will not be altered by repeating the rhetoric they gave us back at them.
In summary:
•Trump is still in office. Still be on alert.
• Be prepared to call out Biden for his crap when he’s elected.
• Don’t be hateful. They won’t respond well to it.
• Be the change you want to see in the world.
