Hey, #pitchwars twitter! If you’re interested, I will continue to write #pwteasers on my process this year with @koz_jessica.

So, if you’re interested in some insider info, this thread is for you! We’re hoping that following along will help your revisions too.
1st things 1st: we’ve set up comms. WhatsApp for regular communication, Google Docs for where the magic happens, email...? For the big stuff like final files and the welcome letter, but insta message is where it’s at. Brainstorming is so important to me as a #pitchwars mentor!
This week, we’re going through some exercises first. It’s useful to warm up and get back into the world of your manuscript before you start revising. Having a stronger foundation to begin with will save you a lot of time because you’ll know exactly what to aim for. #pitchwars
First up is reverse outlining, which helped my 2019 mentee @gigigriffis so much! As is common in #pitchwars, HOME ONE needs adjustments to plot and pacing. Having details down to colour-coded subplots (my fav thing) in front of you makes it easy to see weaknesses in the plot.
I’m not letting @koz_jessica read the edit letter until she finishes the reverse outline! The reverse outline should represent the original draft as closely as possible, and new ideas from the edit letter might mess that up. I’m excited to see the result! #pitchwars
