The power of the VCP is that if we take the most important technical variables for a market to be price, volatility and liquidity/volume, it does a great job providing appropriate entry off that alone

If volatility is a proxy for risk, by definition the VCP provides a low risk environment for participating in a market and if the holy grail of trading is risk/reward, that automatically solves half the problem

What the VCP also relies on is a low volume environment. This means that there is a lack of liquidity in the local price area and that price will move very quickly in search for more liquid zones

This makes the time factor shorter in trades and accelerates the compound effect
