And for centrist Dems in swing districts: The reality is M4A *is* the mainstream policy. It's hugely popular. If you can't do the work of communicating that to constituents, than being in the House is not a good fit for you.
Dems run away from hugely popular bread and butter issues because 1) LEADERSHIP doesn't like those ideas and 2) Because many Dems take money from people who stand to no longer personally profit under M4A. That's it.
Part of the job of electeds is to communicate policies to their constituents. If they can't successfully explain huge policies with literal day-to-day consequences for every single American, why do they think going smaller, more in the weeds will work well for them?
P.S. Y'all can pin this thread for the next time you yell at the left for not tolerating shitty corporatism as the only viable path for Dems. Politics is about give and take. You can't keep giving nothing in return but demanding the vote.
