How much weaker are we when we’re no longer the go-to ally of the US, and we have turned our backs on the only international body even remotely approaching the power of US and China. It is not just economic madness but strategic and diplomatic madness too. We should change now3/4

Sadly we won’t because the whole of our politics has been dragged along with the madness. Instead of undoing it now, we will do so in many years when so much damage will have been done. Johnson will get a deal. The one the EU tell him to take. Total failure of statecraft. 4/4
