When I volunteered for the Sanders campaign in DC, the summer of 2019, our lead organizer told us not to talk to Trump voters. During my conversations with voters, Trump voters were really interested in hearing more about Bernie. Can't believe the ignorance in our own campaign.

There was a woman whose main issue was protecting abortion & immigration rights. She voted for Trump in 2016 because Hillary was a liar

There was a classic MAGA couple who told me they had visited Pakistan & loved it. They said they admired Bernie's honesty

End the arrogance

When I met up with the lead organizers again, I told them about my experiences--they were genuinely surprised. It was clear we did not have the same worldview on American society. A thorough autopsy of Bernie 2020 will show that these worldview clashes in the campaign were fatal
