If Tejashwi wins:

1. The obvious: Other state leaders or even Congress will learn that if they manage to keep national security and communal issues at bay and avoid personal attacks on the PM and duck the ones made against them, a result like Delhi or Bihar is possible (contd.)
2. RJD will be under immense pressure to deliver on their promises and a cordial relationship with the Centre is a pre-condition for that. The good thing is national elections are not going to happen soon. Yet, there could be a situation like the farm bill crisis (contd.,)
...when confrontation becomes unavoidable

3. For all the talks of development, the vote banks and caste factors are crucial but the new Chief Minister has to ensure that he doesn't go overboard vis-a-vis postings like Akhilesh did, every movement will be watched (Contd.)
4. Nitish earlier said this was going to be his last election. JDU might now go its parent, the erstwhile Janata Party's way. However, instead of small groups being formed, it will be a case of large-scale defections
5. Tejashwi's rise and if he manages to get his act together would see some rebels rising within his own extended family, he will have to keep a close eye

6. Administration will have to be top notch in the initial years because many are eager to scream Jungleraj (Contd.)
7. The prediction that in the long run, there will be only two parties in Bihar, the BJP and the RJD, that many commentators made when Nitish Kumar went back to the NDA fold in 2017 and Tejashwi delivered a strong speech during the trust vote, may be finally true (Contd.)
8. In that scenario, BJP will have to look beyond Sushil Kumar Modi for a regional leader. It is unlikely that a firebrand Hindu leader like UP will work in Bihar and not just due to paucity of options as of today (Contd.)
9. Kanhaiya Kumar can now forget becoming a mass leader in Bihar. If indeed he was doing some groundwork after the 2019 electoral loss, those efforts have come to nought. He may even have to look beyond Begusarai if he wishes to continue with electoral politics
