like anime can be pretty great (there are four of them) but as a genre I think I still enjoy Forged in Fire (the genre aka the show) more. but still, almost as good. sometimes. samurai champloo was really great

if you can describe an anime the same way you’d describe seeing monster trucks live & the story isn’t as stupid as “monster trucks: live!”, chances are it’s a great anime. if you can’t it’s probably terrible and also involving high schoolers being sexualized
