Today was incredible.

Imagine inauguration.
Then imagine calling your reps the very next day to tell them to push Biden to the left... and thinking we might actually have a shot.

We’ve got so much work ahead of us. But it’s a new world.

Biden said it: possibility.

Now it’s our job to help him see it and seize it.
I think Biden absolutely realizes he could be one of the greatest presidents in history, guiding our country through one of its greatest crises.

And I think he’s a person who’s learned and grown over the years, expanding his understanding of the country’s problems...
I don’t idolize any politician. Biden was my 5th or 6th choice in the primaries. I’m five to seven clicks further left than him on most issues.

But one thing I do believe is that he genuinely cares about people. “Duty of care.” That was his campaign’s big theme, and I buy it.
So right now, I’m warily ecstatic, if that’s a thing.

Over the next four years, we’ve got a shot at actually addressing the critical problems we face instead of just desperately defending ourselves from literal death.

For now, that’s a huge win.
The only way this works is for us to stay excited, activated, & involved. Fight to win these GA senate seats. Fight to keep Biden from cutting dangerous deals with right wingers. Fight for real solutions.

But we’ve got an honest shot here. That’s huge. Let’s do this. 💙
I’ll also say that Biden’s a normal person whose baseline of everyday decency will help delegitimize extreme viciousness & cruelty.

That truly matters. It sure won’t fix everything. We’ll spend the rest of our lives trying to fix that broken part of our culture.

But it’ll help.
