i just want to say that i completely agree that the video vinnie made was 100% insensitive and i think it’s great that people were holding him accountable. i want him to understand his wrongs and see where he can progress from there. he is clearly making that effort and i think-
he really needs see why he needs to be more mindful and think before he posts. although it was a joke it wasn’t a very funny one. but i know he meant no harm. no this isn’t me defending him or being up his ass.
he was being insensitive to not only my community but to many others. and i don’t think i can forgive him for it but i won’t sit here and shit talk him and act like growth isn’t something tht can be done here.
i’ve been seeing a lot of bad comments towards him. many of which were really hard to read because of how sickening they were (i won’t repeat any bc some were so fucked) and it’s making so anxious and scared that there are people who care very little to people who-
struggle every day with mental health. vinnie opening up about his condition was almost comforting bc i struggle every day with depression too. to say people can’t go through this bc they have more is really sad
pls ik tht someone may have it worse but to have people remind u of tht consistently DOES NOT HELP. it will NOT erase someone’s struggle. vinnie is privileged in more ways than one but please please i ask tht u all be mindful as well bc telling him vulgar things won’t help him
i’ve never been one to get into any sort of drama especially twitter drama over ppl i stan but i really wanted to get this off my chest bc it really upset me & gave me the absolute worst anxiety attack
also it’s not bad to check up on people especially knowing their condition whats so hard to grasp from that? people are scared and worried bc what if he did something tht can’t be reversed? then what? he is always so hard on himself it’s concerning at times
i hope ppl who may read this thread take what i am saying and truly grasp it. my main issue was mental health and how people need to handle this better because lord knows a lot of u are not doing a great job at this.
