OH YEAH soooo those of you feeling real weird and a bit 'off' right now, as everyone has said that's the result of the national PTSD but here's what I haven't seen said.

First, it's akin to the most DANGEROUS point in trying to leave an abuser...the leaving.

Except we're not totally out with all ties cut, done and done.

It's equiv to us SAYING we're done, but ...they're still moving out. And they're going to make that time as miserable and ...dangerous as possible.

So you're already feeling off, odd...when his next 'holy shit they can't DO that, can they DO that?!' evil hits

and...it will. We're not done yet.

It'll feel like 'Ah that's the shoe dropping'. This is going to fuck you up hard emotionally.

Because the part of you that was happy is getting told SEE! SEE! HAPPINESS IS AN ILLUSION AND A LIE! WE MUST STAY ON OUR GUARD! OR BAD BAD THINGS!

And push you back into that hyperalert, super tense, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

He's like an evil marriage partner who says 'You know in this state...I can make you support me the end of my days, you'll never be rid of me' just so you'll spend the day on the phone with lawyers and friends in a panic to find out THAT'S bullshit

But then your accounts are suddenly empty and that's fuckery you can't fix right away so BAM.

It's going to be a roller coaster is what I'm saying. And the gaslighting and fuckery...likely to be epic.

Maybe I'm wrong. And much of it will be frankly softened as his enablers

see the writing on the wall and bail. As the media refuses to give him a platform for his lies.

He'll get more outrageous...but he is a leaking balloon as well. He will appeal to the darkest elements trying to foment unrest and blood in the streets. He can't help himself.

But it's going to be a fucking roller coaster mentally.

AND...you'll have to deal with people who through this and through the coming days, think it was all over today. Won and done.

This has all been trauma too. That takes time to heal. Ideally in safety and comfort.

But not all of us will have that, it's not won and done. There's a pandemic. Things will be very hard for most of us in the days ahead.

BUT...it'll be easier. And better. And we'll make it better still.

So breathe. And when it gets batshit? Breathe.
