-Created organizations for mental health funds.

-Threw tear gas back at an officer.

-Got nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

-Inhaled oxygen.

-Created a space for Muslim women in fashion and athletics.

-Became amongst the top selling fashion brands in New York.

-Organized a professional women’s group franchise.

-Won teacher/educator of the year.

-Received a nomination for Nurse of the year.

-Forced beauty/cosmetic brands to become inclusive.

-Collectively protested FGM & passed a bill to criminalize it.

-Courageously eradicated a law against child marriage.

-Won state comps of poetry, painting, and liberal arts.

-Started over 30 mentorship programs for immigrant students.

-Reversed psychological trauma of children who witnessed the civil war.

-Released music and solidified a place for Somali women in the industry.

-Became physicians for the feminine health of Somali women.

There’s so much more. You can recognize the women who are responsible for these accomplishments. I didn’t include their names because these achievements go beyond just them. It extends to every single Somali diaspora and we should be proud. gabdhaha somaliyeed naa nolaadaan.
