So like, Marcy amiright? a bit awkward, doesnt know how to interact with people that well, but has good intentions all the same.

but the theme of Amphibia revolves around improving yourself and toxic friendships. much like Sasha isn’t healthy for Anne at the moment, so is Marcy

It’s cruel to call her selfish but Marcy has gotten everything she wanted in Amphibia (cool clothes, cool life, cool independence), when we see Anne and Marcy have that “why won’t you let me go!” moment, she shows that she can handle herself fine!

Marcy’s world centers around herself and herself only yknow? Marcy expected for Anne to stay with her in Newtopia but ultimately had to let her go. Maybe it was too much to ask of her... but how can you ask someone who has been by your side this whole time to continue so?

Not only has Marcy changed.. but so had Anne... no longer there to support her 24/7 ....... she’s hurt by this ofc but the fact that Anne paid all this attention to Marcy with Marcy not giving the same amount back..... owieeee

SORRY FOR MY INCOHERENT THOUGHTS, i think it all boils down to: Marcy expects too much out of Anne when it only benefits her and not the other, much like Sasha, and poor Anne has to keep giving and giving until she’s down to nothing.

low key ties into my Anne Angst but Anne is just better off with the frogs who care and nurture her for who she is no matter how much trouble she is and she really needs that... no more giving... just a bunch of frogs....
