To my #LGBTvoices family, I love you all. I respect you each on a level you will never understand. You have changed me, you have humbled me, you have made me better. When I started our group of rag tag queer resisters, advocates and allies I didn’t know I would find a family.

@knittinglinda you are a mother like. I other. You care so deeply for others that it exudes from within you every day. You impress me with your deep understand of the human condition and your ability to see through the hard things. I love you with all my heart.

@NWPinPDX I appreciate your depth. You are a deep thinker and a lover of others. You have been very gracious when I didn’t have that quality to share. You are a good man. Hug your husband, you marriage will be kept safe because of the work you have done. Thank you.

@AllensOpEd your innocence is beautiful. Your insight is important. Keep writing, keep fighting, your voice is important and worthy.

@brycetache you are a force of nature. You give, and give and give, and love. That is who you are. Your voice unmatched in its empathy. It is with great pride I call you a friend.

@chrisehyman I can’t put into words the courage you share with the world. You didn’t win your race this time. But you made a dent in hate and vitriol. You made an impression on my that is immeasurable. I can’t wait to help you win the next time you run for office.

These people are my family. Family choice, not by blood. They are the Instruments of voice for those without a voice. They love you all as much as each other and they will fight for you always. Every single “other” out there is our family.
